Hiveclass, a New York-based edtech platform providing virtual physical education classes for children, has successfully raised $1.5 million in seed funding! The platform was founded by Joe Titus and Paul Suhr amid the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure kids could stay active without access to traditional sports and PE classes.
As children increasingly disengage from physical education in schools, Hiveclass offers a variety of online courses, including fitness, dance, yoga, and self-defense. Parents are also finding relief as they grapple with the high costs of youth sports.
Hiveclass primarily markets its services to public schools and libraries, offering a unique collection of engaging short videos and quizzes to keep students focused. With over 80 educational partnerships and 13,000 users, the platform aims to enhance its teacher portal and develop new services for students with special needs.
Led by Spring Mountain Capital, the funding will support product development and aims to generate an additional $1 million in revenue by next month. Hiveclass is on track to make a significant impact in the realm of children’s fitness and wellness!
