Security Breach: DOGE Website Editable by Anyone!

In a shocking revelation, researchers have discovered that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) website is highly insecure, allowing anyone to alter its content! ️‍♂️ According to web development experts, the site, which does not appear to be hosted on government servers, can be manipulated by those who know where to look. A message reading “these ‘experts’ left their database open – roro” is still visible on the site.

Elon Musk, DOGE chief, promised transparency and updates on their actions via an X account and website. However, the DOGE site was mostly blank until recently, hastily revamped to display posts from its X account and information about federal employees.

Researchers have pointed out that the site seems to be built on Cloudflare Pages rather than secure government servers. They successfully modified database entries, which were immediately reflected on the DOGE website. This isn’t the first instance of a federal website facing scrutiny; just this week, waste.gov was locked after displaying a dummy page.

While DOGE acknowledges potential errors in its web presence, it raises concerns about the ability of a team responsible for significant government spending cuts to secure sensitive data. Perhaps cutting the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency wasn’t the best move.
