Toronto-based programmatic advertising startup StackAdapt has secured $235 million in a growth funding round led by Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG), the investment arm of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. The round also included participation from Intrepid Growth Partners and four unnamed investors.

StackAdapt specializes in AI-driven programmatic advertising, offering solutions across various verticals, including political campaigns, retail, healthcare, and financial services. Its platform supports multiple ad formats, such as native advertising, display, video, connected TV, audio, and in-game ads.

The rise of AI and automation in programmatic advertising has introduced challenges like ad fraud, brand safety concerns, and data protection issues. However, StackAdapt leverages a decade of ad traffic analysis to combat these problems, positioning itself as a leader in the evolving digital advertising landscape.

CEO Vitaly Pecherskiy highlighted the growing demand for cost-effective, AI-driven solutions as companies prioritize growth and efficiency. TVG’s Rick Prostko praised StackAdapt’s consistent growth, profitability, and customer-focused approach, underscoring its potential to become a global leader in advertising technology.
